PRIVACY POLICY

 

Ollie Booth Fitness (OBF) is committed to complying with the terms of the Data Protection Act 2018. OBF has a legitimate interest in processing personal data in order to provide personal training and fitness classes. The purpose of this statement is to let you know what personal information OBF collects and holds, why this data is collected, how long it is kept and your rights over your personal data. I, Ollie Booth Fitness, am defined by this legislation as a Data Controller.

1. Information about you

When you enquire about my services, subscribe to my weekly emails or download material, I may ask for some of the following information:

  • Your name (first name and surname)

  • Your email address

  • Your phone number

  • Your preferred method of contact

If you wish to start Personal Training with OBF then you will be required to fill out a Personal Training Enquiry form and complete a consultation. You will be asked the above information along with the below to ensure your safety and allow me to meet any legal requirements:

  • Your date of birth

  • Information on any medical conditions or injuries

  • Information on exercise preferences

  • Information on your lifestyle

  • Emergency contact information

If you wish to take part in any OBF Bootcamp sessions then the above information may be collected.

To complete any online purchases, you will also be asked to provide our third-party payment service provider with:

  • Your billing address

  • Your shipping address (if different)

  • Your payment details (e.g. credit card details)

By interacting with OBF on social media platforms by way of "liking", "following", “commenting”, "retweeting" or "sharing", you understand that you are consenting for my interaction with you.

2. Use of this information

Your personal information will be used only to provide you with the fitness services you are interested in and to give you information relating to my services. Personal details will not be shared with any other person or organisation without your knowledge and permission, unless there is a legal requirement.

3. Security

All reasonable precautions will be taken to prevent the loss, misuse or alteration of information you give. While OBF makes the security of www.olliebooth.com and your personal information a high priority, no security system can prevent all security breaches. By choosing to share your personal information with OBF, you accept the aforesaid and provide your information at your own risk.

Communications in connection with any service may be sent by phone call, e-mail, text message, Whatsapp or the Virtuagym fitness app. For ease of use and compatibility, communications will not be sent in an encrypted form. E-mail is not a fully secure means of communication. Whilst I endeavour to keep systems and communications protected against viruses and other harmful effects, I cannot bear responsibility for all communications being virus-free.

The OBCF website may contain links to other websites of interest. This privacy policy only covers use of www.olliebooth.com and therefore cannot be responsible for the protection and privacy of any information you provide when you visit sites linked to. When visiting other websites, exercise caution and check the privacy statement applicable to the website in question.

4. Your rights over your personal data

You may choose to restrict how I use your personal information for marketing purposes:

  • Any broadcast emails will contain an unsubscribe link to remove yourself from future communications.

  • You may control which communication methods are used to contact you.

OBF customers should note OBF reserves the right to contact you with important account information deemed necessary to ensure you receive an effective service.

If you would like to see the information held about you, or would like to correct, update or delete any records, please email OBF at contact@olliebooth.com. If you have any concerns about the use of your data, please contact me. I will do my utmost to resolve any concerns you have, but if these are not resolved to your satisfaction, you may choose to contact the Information Commissioner's Office.

5. Data retention

In accordance with data protection laws and good commercial practice, I do not retain data in a form that permits identification of the person(s) to whom it relates, for any longer than is necessary. Once the purpose for which information has been collected has been fulfilled, I will either permanently delete your personal information or remove all identifiers within it so that it is no longer personal data.  I may use such anonymised data for research and/or business analysis purposes.

If you take part in any OBF services then any information you have provided will be held for the following length of time based on UK Active and HMRC advice:

  • Any medical/health information will be kept for 3 years after you last used any OBF services.

  • Any contact information for 7 years after you last used any OBF services.

  • Any information used to setup a payment will be retained for as long as your account remains active.

  • Any relevant information in relation to purchases will be kept for a minimum of 5 years after the 31 January submission deadline of the relevant tax year.

6. Changes to privacy policy

Please note that I may update this privacy policy from time to time. Any changes that I make to this policy in the future will be posted on this webpage and, where appropriate, notified to you by email. Please check back frequently to see any updates and changes to this privacy policy.
